Memorial Weekend Festival - Stop in the Poppy to cool off and shop our festival weekend sale!
The Memorial Weekend Festival in Downtown Newaygo is Newaygo's annual "Welcome to Summer" event. This 3 day festival features an arts & crafts show with over 80 vendors showing off the best in handmade crafts, unique resale items and great local foods. There is also a juried art show, a "Cruisin' with the  Oldies" car show, a pancake breakfast, sidewalk sales, and live music at the area bars and restaurants

Newaygo Farmer's Market - June thrugh October - Fridays from noon to 6pm
The Newaygo Farmers' Market is located just around the corner at Brooks Park at the corner of M-37 and Quarterline. Local growers showcase the best in locally-grown foods, flowers, nursery stock, and baked goods. Vendors vary weekly and by season so be sure to add the Downtown Newaygo Market to your weekly shopping list and stop by often.
Run Forrest Run 5K - Stop in the Poppy to cool off with your favorite race partner (aka your dog!) and receive 10% off pet supplies, treats, and toys from The Happy Hound!
Run Forrest Run is a 5K, one-mile and virtual trail run at Waters Edge Golf Course. Running or walking with your dog is encouraged at this annuaal event benefitting Bellwether Harbor animal shelter for dogs and cats. Enjoy a great run with your pup, and help rescue abandoned, abused and neglected animals.
National Baby Food Festival 
Newaygo County is home to Gerber Baby Foods, located in Fremont, just about 15 minutes away. The festival is four fun-filled days featuring free entertainment, a classic car show, parade, carnival, sidewalk sales at Fremont's small businsses, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, and of course, the world famous Baby Crawl. Unique events include a baby food cupcake challenge, a baby food eating contest for kids and adults, and good old fashioned fun forr kids, like frog-jumping, turtle races, chalking in the streets, and a grand parade.
Take a break from the crowds, stop by Elsie's Ice Cream for a treat, and head to Copper Poppy Home to beat the heat and see what's new before getting dinner at one of downtown Newaygo's great restaurants!

Newaygo Christmas Walk - Finish your holiday shopping at the Copper Poppy at our end of the year sale!
Held annually on the first Saturday in Decmber, the Newaygo Christmas Walk is the quintessential "Christmas in Michigan" scene. State Street is closed off to cars, making it easy to duck in and out of storefronts and restaurants, and also enjoy the numeroouos food  trucks that are present. For families with children there are horse-drawn carriage rides until 9 pm, and Santa makes a visit.
